Vision:
To facilitate progress in our communities, improve viability and enhance quality of life.

Mission:
Provide leadership by seeking technical and financial assistance to create new opportunities in agriculture, employment, area development, and protection of the environment.

The Northeast Nebraska RC&D serves the six counties of Antelope, Cedar, Dixon, Knox, Pierce and Wayne in the far northeastern corner of the state.  Fifty-two communities make up the area of approximately 50,000 population.  A low unemployment rate is indicative of underemployment.  The Santee Sioux Nation’s reservation covers 117,000 acres in northern Knox County.  The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska, now back on their original lands in northern Knox County, is headquartered in Niobrara.
